Via the Writer's Almanac (a cool way to get a poem a day if you like that kind of thing) Feb. 17th:
Poem: "The Kiss" by Stephen Dunn from Everything Else in the World. © W.W. Norton & Company, 2008. Reprinted with permission. (buy now)
The Kiss
She pressed her lips to mind.
-a typo
How many years I must have yearned
for someone's lips against mind.
Pheromones, newly born, were floating
between us. There was hardly any air.
She kissed me again, reaching that place
that sends messages to toes and fingertips,
then all the way to something like home.
Some music was playing on its own.
Nothing like a woman who knows
to kiss the right thing at the right time,
then kisses the things she's missed.
How had I ever settled for less?
I was thinking this is intelligence,
this is the wisest tongue
since the Oracle got into a Greek's ear,
speaking sense. It's the Good,
defining itself. I was out of my mind.
She was in. we married as soon as we could.

Amazing. It could have been written with them in mind.

This one's sad, but I can see it from either POV after their separation because of Trip's "death" in TGTMD.

My browser freaked over that link and some weird window that popped up, but yes, Rosetti is always very good for broken hearts.
Nefarious viruses wouldn't hide out on a poetry site, would they? That just seems so CRUEL...

I remember that poem from my study in Brit Lit II, I LOVED it. It sounded like a TnT poem if one were dying, to me.
Alelou, that site seems to have a popup related to its advertisements in the banner. The site is probably safe.

Let me not to the marriage of true minds (Sonnet CXVI)
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
-- William Shakespeare

I thought of this sonnet when I first read "Time Enough."

Evcake you beat me to it I was planning on posting that Sonnett by William Shakespeare.

I was going through my book that had his sonnets. I think it describes very well the emotions between these two from Zane's story Time enough too.

Here's another one from The Writer's Almanac that struck me as potentially TnT'ish (in angst mode)
"The Definition of Love" by Andrew Marvell. Public domain.
The Definition of Love
My Love of a birth as rare
As 'tis for object strange and high:
It was begotten by Despair
Upon Impossibility.
Magnanimous Despair alone
Could show me so divine a thing,
Where feeble Hope could ne'er have flown
But vainly flapped its Tinsel wing.
And yet I quickly might arrive
Where my extended soul is fixt,
But Fate does iron wedges drive,
And always crowds itself betwixt.
For Fate with jealous eye does see
Two perfect Loves; nor lets them close:
Their union would her ruin be,
And her tyrannic power depose.
And therefore her decrees of steel
Us as the distant Poles have placed,
(Though Love's whole World on us doth wheel)
Not by themselves to be embraced.
Unless the giddy Heaven fall,
And Earth some new convulsion tear;
And, us to join, the World should all
Be cramped into a planisphere.
As lines so Loves oblique may well
Themselves in every angle greet:
But ours so truly parallel,
Though infinite can never meet.
Therefore the Love which us doth bind,
But Fate so enviously debars,
Is the conjunction of the Mind,
And opposition of the Stars.

Not a poem as such, but a good bit of music. Reminds me of TnT after the probes attack and during the np sessions. Kinda sounds likean internal monologue that T'Pol might have.
Coldplay: Fix you
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBEYyHGbwtoWhen you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse?
When the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home,
And ignite your bones,
And I will try to fix you,
High up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down on your face
And I
Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down on your face
And I
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
