AU or Not AU?

I was referring to TPTB. Like I said there is no more disorganized canon than ST. But at least it's reasonably intelligent canon, unlike Star Wars. Of course *the_abomination* is an exception. I like the MU though, it reminds me of the Roman Empire. I like stories where TnT try to redeem themselves and take over. Beacuse it ruthlessness for the subjective good.

I once read a fic (I think its somewhere over at HoT) that envisioned MU Tucker & T'Pol overthrowing Empress Hoshi and turning into the Justinian and Theodora of the MU - and while they are better than Hoshi or Archer, they are still brutal and decadent. I kinda liked it. The fun thing about MU is it was an attempt to show how different the characters would have evolved in such a brutal world.

Yeah I know that one. I kind of think that the MU is interesting because you can't go with fluff, it won't work. Also it challenges the traditional ST good and evil concept. However I am not so cynical to believe that a form of good cannot exist there. I wish BlacknBlue would come back and finish Payment that thing had me on the edge of my seat! Even if he did kill off Malcolm.

I'd certainly read it. I think there was a challenge about the MU in House of Tucker back in the day, and the stuff that got written before the episode was sometimes very funny. Most of those are gone, since many were not completed by the time HoT's TnT section stopped receiving fic, but I used to have a blast reading those.

I really liked the the MU episodes, but I think that Sussman, being an A/T shipper, wrote TnT very dysfunctional and not really in love but rather attracted in a poisonous way. I like the MU fics that correct that, naturally. I would have preferred them to be the Sid & Nancy of the MU - really in love but totally nuts and destructive and a force to be reckoned with. But a few post IAMD idea are knocking about in my head - eventually I'll get to them.

I'm finishing something up to send in the next few days but I am thinking this MU thing might be next. If the plot bunnies don't fail me .
