Updated order for the first round robin:

1. Kotik (beta'ed 17.07.2010, awaiting Distracted's ok to post it)
2. Distracted (in work)
3. aadarshinah
4. Enerdhil
5. panyasan
6.
7.

That leaves Lady Rainbow and Ginamr to decide their positions :)

Since aadarshinah is our resident beta-reader, who will do the beta-reading of her chapter? I'm somewhat disqualified for that part, since I'm not a native speaker.

Maybe Distracted will do both betas for my chappter - she wants to "gamma" the chapters after me anyway.

So we now have:

1. Kotik (beta'ed 17.07.2010, awaiting Distracted's sign-off)
2. Distracted (in progress)
3. aadarshinah
4. Enerdhil
5. panyasan
6. Lady Rainbow (tenative)
7. Ginamr (tenative)

which, unless Ginamir prefers 6th, gives us our complete line-up for the 1st round... you know, I'm really going to need to find a good *clapping* smiley before much longer....

The Definitive First Round List

1. Kotik (beta'ed 17.07.2010, awaiting Distracted's sign-off)
2. Distracted (in progress)
3. aadarshinah
4. Enerdhil
5. panyasan
6. Ginamr
7. Lady Rainbow

Once we get down to about 5 or so we can decide who writes the next round. The order does not have to be the same, only that you cannot write the next chapter if you've written any of the last three (ie, if you want to write the 8th chapter, you cannot have written chapters 5, 6, or 7. If you want to write 9th, you cannot have written chapters 6, 7, or 8, ect)

Would I be out of place to ask that the person before me at least send me a summary of the events they plan for their part so i can get my brain rolling early?

I think it would be a decent thing to do that one sends his work to the next author and the beta-reader. That way the following author has a bit of a head start to let the muse inspire him/her. :)

First chapter has just been submitted to the site :D

Actually, all I asked for was to "gamma" my own chapters, but I'll be happy to beta yours and "gamma" everything if you want. What can I say? I enjoy it. I guess I shoulda been an English teacher. We've got to do this quick, though. At the middle of August my free time will suddenly go from limited to practically nothing. :?

Ah, my mistake. I'm a "grammar nazi" myself, so I know what you mean. But that would be great, when we get to me. But you're up to bat, so... quick! Like a bunny!

Well with me being a non-native speaker, there'll always be a lot to correct. German has a tendency for very long and strung out sentences. It often shows in my writing :? It's also difficult, because I prefer the british spelling (behaviour, honour etc.) so I often have to correct a lot.

I'm an American, but have used the british spelling of everything since I was in middle school, just because I prefered it. Use the 24hr clock too. Drives people nuts when they go to use my computer or such, which is a wonderful side effect...

And don't worry, you're not so bad. I've known several non-native speakers over the years, several of them german, and you really don't have that many problems, least not compared to some.
