My first exposure to it was in TGTMD and, even though I find it biologically unfeasible, I decided to keep it simply for the sake of the aliens actually being alien.

Plus, I got to work in not one, but two Frak You's to the ENT "finale".

And yes, my general dislike (and borderline contempt for) politicians bleeds through here...yeah, there are some exceptions but that's what they seem to be.

It strikes me as silly - I've heard it before and I didn't like it. Be that as it may, when has biological unfeasibility ever stopped Trek?

Yeah, it is pretty silly ... but then, female pon farr is silly but it's a(n annoying) staple of T'Pol based fanfiction (regardless of who she's sleeping with). And the Xindi? Come on ...

It just worked in this case, I thought.

it's a throw away line from data's day that for years people have been playing around with how it works and really it applies to the number of people in a wedding party not necessarily for people are needed for biological purposes..

Andorian marriages require groups
of four people unless two---

so for all we know as far as canon is that two people are only needed biologically but it takes four for a family group.

Yeah ,its a bond group made of 2 couples ,who make babies separatelly ,its kinda silly to think they'r swingers Laughing Laughing .

They are 4 because that's tradition.

we really dont know.
heck it might be because as a warrior race there will always be someone at home with the child and they rotate parental duties.

like i said it was a throw away line in a discussion about marriage customs of other races and the line gets cut off.

Nice to see Shran again and that he's angry with the leaders of his government about fighting the Orions instead of the Romulans.

I really liked the scene with Eisler - and would like to see more from the emotionally vacant tac officer. I can kinda see how he would take a shine to Hess. Sure she's outgoing, but she's tough and isn't put off by his 'no touchy' demenior. She doesn't really give him much choice.

And it's always nice to see honorable Shran - wonder what he's up to?

Kinda reminiscent of another TAC/ChEng friendship, eh?

hey i just had an idea ,i just saw Lost in Space ,the one with Matt Leblank ,and i just loved the body armor he haved ,man the morphing stuff was awesome ,i think it would be cool if you presented Eisler's assault team with this special armor i think it would be great ,like in later chapters when the fighting gets tough ,and Eisler realizez that he and his assault team needs some kind of edge ,it would be cool i think Very Happy

Re: Andorian genders. While there was a throw away line from Data in TNG, that was a nod towards old fanon. I recall a poster on TrekBBS with an Andorian nick, who has mentioned that the four-gender bondgroup was thought up by a fan in a story in one of those fanzines from the 70s. This has since been adopted into different novels and RPG manuals.
