Not in those words no, but when Ensign Wildman and B'Elanna were pregnant when the men complained about pregnancy things, inevitably there was a lecture drawn from experience. So whatever. Besides sometimes Trek alien biology is remarkably human, BUT they pick and choose it's not supposed to be real.

Again, it makes no sense that T'Pol would do this - but it was a crazy situation. Also, we have no idea how pregnancy would affect a Vulcan - they've got green blood and their hearts are where their livers should be.

The whole distrust thing didn't make too much sense to me. That he may have been a tad surprized and came up with several crazy theories may be understandable, but the persistence of his doubts is a contrived plot tool. T'Pol still sensed his mistrust when they were down in the lunar colony, which doesn't make sense. I think the authors were just afraid to show them in some sort of harmony.

I agree with you, Kotik. Trip's initial behavior seemed reasonable, but certainly NOT after T'Pol's and Phlox's explanations and reassurances, the scene in the mine seemed forced conflict.

I agree that it was forced. I would have preferred it if Trip suspected she didn't remember having the baby - since there is precedent for Vulcans suppressing memories in The Seventh. In fact, in the new book, Trip experiences a lost block of time. It was a little forced.

But honeybee the timeline is so off. How could she get pregnant, hide it, then have her mind wiped? I agree it's intriguing, I just can't think how it would happen. But then I just got up a minute ago, give me time.

I'm not saying it makes sense - but the whole thing doesn't make any sense. I was just suggesting a way that Trip might have been a little less accusatory after Phlox/T'Pol's denials.

I would think it would have been better if Phlox just had said, "Commander, there is absolutely no way ANY woman on ENT could get pregnant and successfully hide, the situation and the baby without my help. I didn't help T'Pol, so how would it work?"

Well, supposdely she was not Pregnant. but what makes me wonder is when she said she knew there was a Baby out there and it is ours. Trip asks how she knows and T-Pol says because "I am vulcan" what in Hell does being Vulcan have tod with knowing a baby exists. Unless, of course T-POl knew that the baby was the one she gave birth to. Also, when she held the baby up and said "Hi,I am your Mother. You need a name we will have to talk to your father about that." Since she by then knew Elizabeth was a Binery clone she was the mother through her DNA being used to create the clone. It was still a clone and not born naturally. T-POl, might have said "Hi, you are going to need a name."

Oh Sliverbullet Sometimes you creep me out. She wasn't pregnant, no "supposedly" about it. How she knew the baby was hers, simple Vulcans bond with blood family, even family they're far away from. It's that freaky telepathy brain thing, they're aliens they can do that. And clone or not T'Pol as a PERSON accepted Elizabeth as her child, someone to love, nuture, and raise. The fact that she wasn't born naturally had no impact on that.

Warpgirl, this was binery Clone. How did T-Pol know it existed? saying it was because she was Vulcan doesn't work. she would not be bonded to it. I will give you that she accepts the child as hers and Trips. but not that she knew it existed because she was Vulcan.

I agree with WarpGirl on this one. T'Pol was never pregnant. It was not medically possible (at that time) and Elizabeth was a clone.

She held Elizabeth's DNA there's a theory (notice I said theory not fact) that Vulcans can sense a person related to them by a DNA connection.

Did anybody think that perhaps Trip acted so paranoid because the bond with T'Pol? The bond works two ways and we know that T'Pol can feel Trip. What if his paranoid ideas are a consequence of the turmoil of ideas T'Pol must have at the time? T'Pol can control them, but the terrible (and supressed) doubts and questions could intoxicate Trip.

Or does this sound totally crazy? :?

Honestly, yes. :vulcan:
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.
