I AGREE!

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Until I read TGMTD I was perfectly ready to take my personal universe as cannon, but then I nearly cried readingTGMTD b/c i realized that they found a better way around the 'Abomination' than I did.
I'm going to try my version, but I know it won't be nearly as good. Oh well.

I've previously stated my thoughts but I'll repeat them: based on the framing sequence of Last Full Measure, I don't think that there is a future for Trip & T'Pol. To me, it appears like they're going to be stuck in this latest angst garbage permanently.
And that's all I'm going to say about it, 'cause I have no desire to get sucked into another argument.

It seems like this book series is delaying a relationship just like the TV series did. What's up with that?
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.
Re: Trip and T'Pol's future in the relaunch novels - Your Though
Like Pooka said ,war separates people ,even if he would be on the ship ,it would be hard for them to have a romatic relationship , i think its not that they want to keep them appart ,*the_abomination* is to blaim for that ,if Trip didn't "died" in *the_abomination* ,the relaunch novels would not take this path for him ,i don't think they would have gone trhough all this trouble in this book to show T'Pol 's feelings of regret after he died ,in the conversation between her and Phlox in sickbay she said that they shared something that would forever link them ,and Phlox thaught she might be speaking about a mind meld ,if they didn't have nothing planned for them in the long run ,they could have easilly have them broke up on Vulcan and be done with it.
But like Zane said ,even if things don't turn out like i want in the end , at least i can enjoy the ride
Ps : At least whe didn't get a line like "Our intimate relantionship is over for six years " ,wich left me cold when i saw it.

^^ I pretty much agree with that.
I don't know what's in store for them, but I'm not going to be all gloomy because I enjoyed what I read in TGTMD and T/T despite not being together in the same place they are more together than they've been in a while, IMHO. There is acknowledgement of feelings, of the bond of wanting to be together... that's a good start. If *the_abomination* hadn't happened maybe things would be different. But with that thing in the mix and needing to make the books compelling on various levels I think looking forward to T/T rather having them be settled is the best move we can hope for right now. The editors gave us the hope for it. We'll see how it goes.

Yes, hope goes a long way. As long as there is hope, you can't completely write a relationship off.

I like TGTMD and how Trip & T'Pol were handled in a more thoughtful and mature way. I liked what we got to see in the book. T'Pol holding onto hope about seeing Trip again after the Romulan business.

I tried to read "TGTMD".
It does not interest me. It is ugly.

I think that to counter the abomination the Authors would have done better to find other ways.
I prefer the future of other Authors.
Hurray Trip and T'Pol!

Re: Trip and T'Pol's future in the relaunch novels - Your Though
I just finished TGTMD and I loved it. It gave Trip a comparable lifespan to T'Pol. They may have to remain apart a few years, but they have a potential future, SOMEDAY. Trip isn't gonna grow old while T'Pol stays young do to the discrepency in lifespans. To me this was the best part of the book. However, I really liked the way it set it up for future novels. I hope they keep them consistant. After all, the two 25th century characters from another series do mention they are only beginning their exploration into the adventures of Trip Tucker, so I'd like to see future books continue the story.Rigil Kent wrote:I've previously stated my thoughts but I'll repeat them: based on the framing sequence of Last Full Measure, I don't think that there is a future for Trip & T'Pol. Yeah, its kinda encouraging thing that Nog said the files were from Trip's life, the next chapter they are viewing i think its still from his files ,he would most certainlly apear in Koayashi Maru if the Romulans are involved ,and Margaret Clark said that they are

You realize of course that this is the exact same thing AinTers say about *the_abomination* and the series in general about their ship, right? The day that we're reduced to saying the same thing is a sad day indeed.

Re: Trip and T'Pol's future in the relaunch novels - Your Though
No,its not the same CX ,the Ainters said that without having any romantic relationship between Archer and T'Pol ,they were desperate in season 3 (believe me,i've read all theyr forum post from in the timeframe between season 2 and 3 ) .
Between Trip and T'Pol there is an actual romantic relationship ,canonical ,and the writers kept it ,they actually made love in this book (something that season 4 failed to produce
)not an experiment ,there are fellings aknoeldged and presented ,very strong fellings ,she cries 3 times for him ,she tells Phlox that his "death" is very hard for her ,that she is having trouble sleeping and maitaining her control , we have actual romantic interaction between them in this book i don't think its finishiping because we actually have something to ship for right there, they didn't brake up ,the war broke them appart ,and i don't think they will forget about the mind-link .
This is just the first book ,i think its to earlly to speculate about the ending .
