I need a fact check. Can anyone think of a time before the third season when Trip touches T'Pol in a purely social way (i.e. not in decon or combat or whatever)?

Before season 3... Hmmm. Nope. I can't even remember helping her up a ladder or something. Hey what about that website you like with all the fancy pics? Trekcore or something like that right? maybe they have a still shot of something I missed. Although since this is "missing scenes" I don't see why you can't fudge it.

It takes forever to flip through Trek Core, so no, I'm not gonna do that for three entire seasons. I do go to them fairly often, though, for things like, "Was that conversation in Archer's quarters or in the ready room?"

I'm just trying to finish up Season 2. I need to walk away from all this for a little while to get non-Star Trek things done.

My note is the most recent in the Beta thread the last thing I wanna do is be that annoying kid in WalMart, you know "Mommy I need a beta NOW!" Que the screaming tantrum... No way!

If you're coming up dry here, do you have family members who can beta? A person doesn't have to be a Trekkie to check grammar and spelling, and since you tend to have strong and highly individual opinions about character and plot, you're probably less likely to butt heads with someone who's just fixing the wording.

Well despite, my tendency "to have strong and highly individual opinions about character and plot" (which as far as I know isn't a bad thing) I haven't butted heads with any of the kind people who have offered to Beta for me about those opinions. I made it clear to them that my story is an AU I don't consider it to be the "real way things happened" and it in no way is supposed to disrespect those who do like the RU. And amazingly enough some people who strongly disagree with my opinions about plot and character seem to like it. Shocked the heck out of me that's for sure.

I'll wait my turn, if someone gets freed up and wants to take it on they have my unending gratitude. My friends and family are swamped with stuff.

I'm glad you've had such good experiences. Personally I have found it frustrating when the writer and I are not kindred spirits, especially since there's already more than enough editing to do (for pay) in my real life.

I thought that was the game changer, the neuropressure in "The Xindi' Always reminded that "Vulcans don't like to be touched," but then he thinks she's "making sexual advances" and then she actually did. I could see how that would, in his mind, give him the okay to touch her.

Alelou, re Trip touching T'Pol before season three. NOot that I can remember. It seemed that the only one who did was Archer when he helped her into something or up a ladder. That I do remember.

Actally, I don't remember Trip touching T'Pol in the two early seasons but he was in conflict with her. In Unexpected she was all over him about being Pregers and in Strange New World they were at logger heads. but touching? No.
