It's on HoT I'll try to find it for you... DANG! I can't remember the title, grrrr! OK it's about Trip seeing a Vulcan couple exchange a "Finger Caress" at the Vulcan consulate while eating a hershy bar. Let's just say is adds to a man's appeal when he appreciates chocolate. Did you know it has pain releaving properties, I feel them all the time. And it's finally proved by science.

Chocolate sure helps with emotional distress, I know that. 8)

Not so sure about the pain, for me, because it fairly often sparks a headache. (Especially my favorite, dark chocolate.) So when I'm being good I resist its siren call. I can't handle being good for too long, though.

Intertwined by Samanth Quinn. :)
By whom there is a brand new story on FF. A Star Trek 2009 movie story.
Has T'Pol in it though.

(I just came home starving from my thrift store shift and ate way too many chocolate biscuits.)

Read the one where T'Pol spreads chocolate sauce all over Trip? Now, who wrote that? Sue maybe?

Yep, it's beautifully written and I reviewed it as such, but she apparently didn't appreciate my honest reservations about K/S ... so be careful if you review or you might just get something pretty snarky back that makes you wish you hadn't left any review at all.

Oh okay. My own snarky feelings at the moment aside, what a lovely story this is. Go enjoy it!

I find an honest critique is better than none. Sometimes I might have to explain my reasoning, or even ask someone to explain theirs. But feedback of BOTH sides can help a story progress. It's unfortunate that some people can be rude, and that happens A LOT on ff.net which is why I won't post there anymore.

It would be safer to say the response was defensive rather than rude. But when I respond to someone who was at least partly complimentary, I hope I always remember to include a "thank you" in there somewhere. Because I am very thankful to get reviews, even if the person doesn't totally see it my way.

(Well, okay, every once in awhile I think a reviewer is just plain being mean, though nobody who posts on these boards has ever struck me that way. But whatever. I think you kind of have to accept that risk or you'd never publish anything.)

I think I missed that one, too. Dang, but you're the one who remembers all the fics.

I suppose I could try to google "chocolate sauce"+"Trip"+"T'Pol." Actually, I only just realized I can use my google dashboard to do a search for specific terms on a specific web page, so now I can hunt for post-eps on Trip T'Poler's title page and make sure I'm not accidentally copying anybody. Unfortunately, finding a good one in the same spot I was going to put a missing scene kinda took the wind out of my sails, so maybe I shouldn't look....but luffing sails are good right now because I really need to focus on some RL projects, including the parents' fiftieth anniversary video. When you've been married for fifty years, most of the photographs documenting your life together do not exist in digital form, and scanning is a royal pain in the behunkus.

I am diabetic because of my deep love of Dark chocolate and Marshmallow.

At Easter I would eat a carton of Chocolate Coverd Marshmallow Easter Eggs. You know how much Sugar that is?

That and a tub of Godiva Dark Choclate Ice Cream.

A Ritter Sport Dark choclate Candy bar every other Day.

Now NOTHING. Damned diabetes.

Diabetes is a miserable disease. But you might be able to get some Atkins chocolate bars or something safely into your diet. You have to count carbohydrates, not cocoa per se. It ain't sweet until someone adds sugar to it.

I have a friend whose Type I diabetes is so bad she has a monitor embedded in body ... but sometimes she'll still eat a chocolate bar ... she just has to be real careful about it and keep her weight down. She actually just wrote a really cool piece of software that takes the records from her monitor and allows her to see specific patterns and trends so she can decide whether it's Thai restaurants or Sunday mornings or what that tends to get her into trouble.

Warpgirl. I do because my wife makes sure I do.

She read labels as if they are gosphel

I monitor Blood Sugar daily. Blood Pressure too.

But believe me it is sheer torture to go through a supermarket or to the mall and pass some places.

Thank your wife! Really it could be worse, you could die. Anyway back to the Vulcans, I have been trying to figure out this shellfish thing and I am lost. The only answer I can come up with is that these shellfish aren't sentient. ST doesn't really get the definition of sentience correct. Sentience is the ability to feel sensation or pain. Sapience (I spelled that wrong) is the ability to use intelligence. So I guess food choices are limited to sentience and animals that are sapient are never an option, for example a shelat.

Unfortunately, there was some study recently that determined crabs and lobsters definitely do suffer and feel pain. Not sure if that applies to mollusks and the like.
