Re: New Fanfic Submissions: 2014 Edition
Sorry that I've been out of touch for a few weeks and still woefully behind on my story reading and commenting, but I'm delighted to see these new stories being posted.

T'Pol is a slave girl? No no no, that won't do at all. Get in there Trip - there's some rescuing to be done.

Re: Mono-cultural planets
Are there any other settlements on Northstar? I haven't checked the transcripts but I don't remember getting the impression that there are. Perhaps it's just the main town, and a few settler families/communities based around the town who are farming and hunting in the area. The original setup doesn'...

Re: Mono-cultural planets
I suspect the answer is largely one of timing, and geographic variations will fade away as travel and communication becomes easier. If you came back to Earth a hundred years from now, I suspect you'd fund it was far more homogeneous than it is today. The differences that are left will probably be ca...

Re: Star Trek convention in Las Vegas 2013
It was great to see Eireann and family and meet a fellow Triaxian Silker in the flesh. I haven't been to one of these events before so it was quite surreal to see Dominic Keating just wandering around chatting to people. I didn't see Connor but apparently he was in the area. If only he'd persuaded J...

Re: Daily science stuff
Though it’s been delayed along the way, Riddick finally opens Sept. 6. Will you be watching?
Judging by this, it's supposed to be out now. The fact I've never heard of it must be a testament to my advert-dodging abilities.

Re: YouTubes You Just Have to Share With the World...
The song is kinda catchy but the performance that goes with it is oddly compelling! YouTube took me to another video showing the same act in New York (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDOPNLzEFH0) where they got much the same reaction. Had to chuckle at 4:24!

Re: My VOY reviews
Ahem, me too.
Watching the re-runs, I can't help noticing that T'Pol spends a lot of time just barely in the frame, even when she isn't the center of attention. Well, parts of her are just barely in the frame, anyway.

Re: Randomness
Judging by the dates I guess he would have been born around the time TOS was running. I wonder whether his parents had any idea how well known that name was going to become. He should probably count himself lucky that he wasn't posted to the Big E.

I'm sure it's exactly that sort of thing. But I had no idea anyone would be willing to pay to see that, let alone enough to make it viable as a profession. It just strikes me as a bizarre thing to do, and an even more bizarre thing to pay to watch.
