Re: Archer as Captain
I don't recall anything that would contradict that, no. And I think it would definitely be an interesting take on Archer's back story!

Re: Favourite Bad Guys
Q is awesome.
There was a novel--hardcover--in the 80s or 90s, by Peter David, I think--which supposed that Trellaine (who EntAllat referenced) is actually an adolescent Q. I'm pretty sure I still have it somewhere...might be worth a re-read, now that I think about it.

I think that the job in and of itself makes it hard for him to be Relationship Guy. I certainly don't see him having this huge string of one-night stands...but maybe an occasional one-night "meaningful relationship" with someone he really, really liked. Kind of the way Hoshi did in the sam...

Damn. I should go to school in Arizona, then. I have almost NEVER gotten that much of my money back on resale. In fact, that Very Expensive psych textbook I mentioned from last semester? It was probably about $200. They offered me FIVE BUCKS on buyback, because "nobody is using it next semester...

Re: Creativity Soundtrack
Yeah. It's not the first time the masses have gotten hold of a misunderstood term, then started misusing it based on that misunderstanding.
Oh, and for pure motivation factor--I like to play some Johnny Cash too.

Oh, I'd buy that he'd feel used once he found out she was a spy. For sure. But--I'm looking at this from the perspective of his intentions going into it, before he found that out. Nice lady. Lot in common. "Must Love Dogs." That kind of thing. If he wants to get some of that, who's to say ...

Re: Arrivederci
Kotik, I hardly think that's a fair comparison. Aikiweezie is quite right--this is a privately-owned board. It's not unlike attending someone's house party--this is Elessar's house, and he's throwing a TnT "open house" of sorts, and he's enlisted the help of some other people to help him o...

Re: Archer as Captain
I guess "slutty" is in the eye of the beholder.
He seemed to actually like her. I don't think it would've been wrong, and if it wasn't happening all the time I don't think it would make him promiscuous. It's gotta be lonely when it's just you and your dog.

Re: Favourite Bad Guys
I liked the Borg, until they became sissified with Hugh.
I always liked the Romulans, especially TOS-era, because of the whole mystique of them being related to the Vulcans.
And, though not so much a "bad guy" I guess, I always found Harry Mudd amusing.![Cool 8)](./images/smilies/cool.gif)

Re: Archer as Captain
Wow, SB . Thinking of it that way really puts a perspective on it, doesn't it??? It makes things seem so much less distant. One of my few gripes about the Archer character is I really wish they'd gotten the guy laid more. I know TPTB kind of wanted him to be the anti-Kirk that way...but co...

Re: Non-TnT pairings
SB --All of that is entirely reasonable and fair. And thought-provoking, because something occurred to me as I read your remarks about it being "just Archer," and others not sharing in the heroism. Being that this is a prequel, showing us how things came to be in Kirk's time, isn't it ent...
