Re: Yowling Rant
That's OK CW . He'll be 7 in two weeks. I've considered homeschooling, I'm a former teacher. The problem is that he isn't the only autistic child I have and I also have an 18-month old. Michael had therapies from Charlotte-Mecklenburg until he was 3, when he went into the public school system (in a ...

Re: Yowling Rant
Thanks, guys. I just read over my son's IEP (Individualized Education Plan) for next year. It's a document stating what he's achieved during the year and his academic, social and emotional goals for next year. I'm crying. It's so much "Michael can't" do this. He "can't do" that a...

Re: New Fanfic Up!
Huh. Weird. In Google Chrome and Firefox I'm seeing it in the places psidl mentioned. In IE7, they aren't there.
Just a browser issue? Had this problem in Ch. 1 too.

Re: Science and Fiction in Science Fiction
Now, if this is still about interspecies pregnancy...I don't have a fancy medical degree, but to be honest, almost this very topic came up between me and my high school biology teacher, who was a Trekkie. I had asked this in reference to Spock (yeah, for me high school was back in the stone age whe...

ROTFL!!! Thanks for these reviews!! :guffaw: This one's my fave: "This book is 3 words over and over again: MY LIFE IS BAD. 500 pages and that's all it says. It's exactly the same as any other book about a poor family with an irresponsible father and a child who manages to be alright (Angela's ...

Re: Status and Support
THANK YOU SO MUCH, GUYS! I do appreciate the support you're all giving me. You rock.  Usually I'm a lot more thick-skinned and able to shrug off comments like that. But when you're constantly in pain, it does tend to wear you down. (In the middle of a rheumatoid arthritis/fibromyalgi...

Science in my Fiction writing contest...
A friend sent me this link... http://crossedgenres.com/simf/contest/ Every fic in this contest has to be based on a scientific discovery/innovation, etc. made this year, not as a side detail. Plus you have to include a link to the scientific article on which your story is based. There are some autho...

Re: Status and Support
Guys, I'm in serious need of encouragement and hand-holding here... I'm seriously considering not sharing my writing or art. I know I shouldn't take some criticism personally---you can't satisfy everyone, and everyone's a critic---but I'm getting extremely tired of being picked apart. I've got (had?...

Re: The Theory Behind A Human/Vulcan Child
I need to point out one thing here... Bear in mind.... this universe is completely fictional. You can do with it what you will. Thanks for pointing this out, Peg. I always find it fascinating how different authors interpret events and characters in different ways. That's what makes these stories un...
