Re: Bio-poem game
SB, you guessed correctly; I was just trying to be polite and wait the rest of the conversation out.
So. Here goes. And for the record? First letter in my username is an L, not an I.
I wish I had pushed him a little harder about breaking rules
Like so many others in Starfleet seem to have done.
And I dream of what might have been had I been with them -- with him -- in the Expanse.
I am, instead, left to pick up the pieces and wonder what changed.
I used to dream of the days we'd be together, knowing they would come someday when we were equals,
But now I know those days will never come.
I seem to find ways to help when he needs it anyway, at least some of the time,
But I'm really just trying to catch up on all the opportunities we lost.

My fan fiction is in The Laundry Room.

Weeble: yup, you're up. Not bad for something written on the fly, I hope!

I thought it was great. It had me stumped for a while but I'm proud to say that I guessed right in the end. I just daren't join in the game - it wouldn't be fair to make you wait for a month while I try to come up with one of my own. I do enjoy reading your collectively clever creations, though.

How 'bout this one
I wish I was bigger
Like these visitors
And I dream that my dad was still here
I am trying to be strong
I used to play with him
But now I just miss him
I seem to have more responsibilities
But I'm really still just a kid
I wish I was bigger

I used to play with him

Re: Bio-poem game
I wish I had not been born cursed,
Like every Vulcan since the days of Surak, forced to deny my very self
And I dream of a time when honest emotion brought no shame
I am an oddity, shunned by polite society
I used to fear their disdainful expressions
But now I wish only to join mind and body with one fair seeker of truth
I seem to the others to be doing her harm
But I'm really very misunderstood
