There's nothing to understand, Dis. If the photo (taken at Guinness in Dublin) is liked, I'm happy. That's it.

One of my cats died on Friday. He was only nine years old, but he had been sick for a while. I was afraid we didn't have good pictures of him. Today we spent some time going through old photos and videos and found a lot more than I expected. It's a comfort to find pictures that show him looking and acting in the ways I most want to remember. I was going to share one, but I'm not sure how to do that. Would someone please explain?

First you need to find a photo hosting website. I use Photobucket, but there are lots of them out there that will host photos and videos free. Set up your account and then upload the photos you want to post from your computer. After they upload the site will give you the option of several codes to copy. Copy the one that's meant for posting on social media. Then come here and create a post on this thread. Click on the IMG button above and then paste the code in between the [ IMG ] and the [ /IMG ]. The picture will show when you click submit. Trust me. It's not as complicated as it sounds.

We used to have a black & white cat like that. She could be pretty ill-tempered at times but we loved her. My old cat (19) passed away shortly after my wife and I started living together. We were considering getting another cat but we moved and the new condo didn't allow pets. I was pretty surprised when I got home one evening and found my wife napping in the living room with a cat! Turned out that she and another had belonged to the previous tenants who had moved out and left them behind! I just cannot believe some people. They both wound up staying with us and when we moved to Japan they came along and had lots of adventures in our neighborhood before passing on.

It's always tough when one of your friends passes away. Hang in there!

Thanks, everyone. He was a cute and funny cat.

I'm trying to get a little writing done before it's time to take the other cat to the vet for a check-up. Unfortunately writing forum posts is easier than figuring out how to get Trip from point A to point B in my story.

Cute kitty! If you'd ever like a painting or drawing of him, let me know. My daughter is an aspiring young artist. :)

Here are a few pics.
