How'd you do that, Viatrix? Is that all yours or did they add something? Is it a coiled braid, or what?

Re: Member pics
Hehehe! Thank you!! My very first updo, in fact...
There were no additions; the secret iiissss........ bobby pins! Lots and lots and lots and lots of bobby pins. Apparently there are different types of pins too--who knew? If you poked a finger back there, it was solid metal. Oh, and of course plenty of hairspray for good measure. The vain things the female of the species does... But, hey, special occasion and all that...
I *think*, judging by all the poking and prodding, the way those things are done is by securing a lock against the head with pins, then making the curl and securing the other end of the curl with more pins. Everyone's 'dos looked just lovely. I do think being able to look at a picture and translate it into an actual, functional, beautifully arranged mass of curls on a real live person is a pretty impressive talent. I'm hopeless at so much as putting in curlers!

Re: Member pics
The reason I asked is because hair braiding is sort of a hobby of mine, since my hair is three feet long and I've got to do SOMETHING with it. So far, I've worked up to the French braid, the reverse French, the herringbone, and the double French. I've always wanted to learn the five stranded braid but I've never found anyone willing/able to teach me to do it on myself. The bun you had looked complicated, and I was hoping that it was a sort of braid I'd never seen. Bobby pins, huh? Oh, well.

Oh cool I like braiding people's hair. Lots of tiny little braids with extensions too. Once I did like 257 braids on my best friend's sister's hair

Re: Member pics
Never tried the multiple braids thing. Might look kinda strange on a 43 year old white woman, though.

Well my friend (and her sister) were like white and stuff too. And I did the multiple braids thingy on my cousin as well and she's like a blond chick with a really really pale skin. It looked awesome they weren't like 43 though but what does that matter anyway.

I'll take your word for it. I doubt it would go over too well at work, and my mom would have a cow. (Very conservative woman, my mom. The Bo Derek look definitely wouldn't be her preference.)

Yay I got the DVD of a film I shot like around Christmas so I made some screencaps of moi. I'm playing the main character's annoying little sister (I'm like 14 here) in a story about an Iraqi translator girl who falls in love with an American soldier. It's based on a true story. They really cut a lot of stuff from the final edit (not only mine... good looking people's scenes too )... and they spelled my name wrong in the credits well but my name just calls for it anyway here goes
Me asking to be excused from breakfast
Giving my sister a bad face
Dinner
Never seen my dad so mad before. I'm worried/confused
My sister wanna leave us. Dad's mad, Mom's begging, I'm scared

Nice!
what's the title of the film? Can I buy it somewhere so I can show everyone and be like, "dude, I talk to that chick on the internet all the time!"

It's a short student film called "Marwa", I don't think it's actually in distribution anywhere (well at least not yet, there's plans to submit it to like film festivals and stuff) it's too long for YouTube I think (and I don't know if I'd be allowed to post it on YouTube anyway, not mine) I could try to like rip it and email you a video file if you want
