Looks like we lost the member pic thread. Feel free to add your own.

HtH

Admin edit to change the title of the thread--since it is the picture forum, it wouldn't be off topic here, Laughing

Good idea, Hth. That'll cheer everyone up. Ummm...where's yours?

Time to make a fresh start, so...Greetings from the Acadiana Renaissance Festival from Distracted and family (or at least the part of my family I could corral for the photo! Very Happy ) I'm the one in the dress, just in case you're just getting here.

In the spirit of moving on, here's a never-before posted picture of my son:

He's 18 now and no longer a trekkie, though he does love Voyager. Two days ago he asked me AGAIN to buy him more seasons of Voyager. I said maybe he'd want to go to the Star Trek convention with us in Philly. He declined saying, "It's stupid. I don't even know why I like it. Maybe because I've seen all the episodes."

I'm such an old fart that the Trek toys I owned were those Mego action figures of the TOS crew. Needless to say that I thoroughly wore them out to the point of them losing arms and legs... Shock

Me and my friends built our own space ships for those figures, using cardboard and paint. Too bad that nothing much of it remains today.

I've got one of the Mr. Spock dolls from that set somewhere around here (none of the equipment, though). Mom bought him off the guy who won three of them at an auction for the price he paid for it (I actually wanted the Scotty figure, though... I think I was very much into Scotty at that particular time, but the only one of the three the guy would sell was Spock since he already had him.)

Really cool photos, everyone. I suppose I will have to go wrestle with photobucket and put one up.

LOL! That reminds me of when my three boys would play with their very girly cousin.

I can remember them playing "Beatle-Borgs Go to the Library" (of course the Beatle Borgs started fighting and destroying the library, with my neice threatening to take away their library cards. Then there was "The Magic School Bus in Space fighting the Aliens."

Dang. You all reminded me of that old model of the NGC-1701 that I had. I haven't thought of that in years. I used too much glue, or the wrong kind of glue or something, and the mounts for the nacelles softened up. They never would stay upright. Doggone things kept flopping over under their own weight like the wings of a tired chicken. And the "silver" model paint that was recommended made it the precise color of our galvanized garbage can. But I had fun putting it together anyway.

Man that was a long time ago...
