No. I am already hoping that next year will be better. Connor and Dominic are at EVERY convention this year - but not mine. :( :(

Great costume pics everyone! Dog costumes? LOL, I saw some dog costumes in Target when we were shopping for kid costumes. These are the first pics I have seen of costumes actually on a dog. I need a costume for my parrot.

LOL, he would be disappointed to be part of someone else's costume, especially when he wants to be the first Parrot-American to run for public office.

Yow! The colors knock my socks off. Look at that little orange toy. Love it.

That one is 7 exposures put together, to catch the nuances in the clouds and snow, which never show up right in one exposure. But bright things (the window, the Little Tikes cozy coupe car, the red tetherball, and the snow shovel against the tree) all "boing" out due to being overexposed.

I did one of a nice fat yellow moon the other day, but even though I did the exposures only a few seconds apart, that damn moon just moves too damn fast:

Image

(even the twigs have budged less than the moon and they've got the wind to deal with.)

I like how the twigs that were in front of the moon look like they have lava on them instead of snow.

Elessar, I love that last photo - the expressions on both your faces.

EnterpriKayak, your home is beautiful. The colors are fantastic. Winter has its own special beauty of solitude and restfulness. We have not had snow here yet in southern Wisconsin, but it is coming soon.

Awesome photos! I've never been to an outdoor range. What were you shooting at? (Same targets as archery?)

They have these hard rubber stops up, like rectangular in shape bolted to railroad ties about 4 ft in the air - they're at 25, 50 and 100 yards. That particular picture was taken at the 50 yard line where I was teaching Star to shoot. As far as actual targets, I either use these self-adhesive shoot-n-see 5.5" targets or these full sized man-silhouette targets I duct tape to cardboard
