Yeah, he's a cutie-butt. And creepy-smart sometimes! Like...the stuff he figures out, you're like, "um...you're a CAT!! You're not supposed to be able to do/know that!"

Both my cats are really smart, just different ways. Elvis is actually quite verbal and even seems to have developed a vocabulary of sorts; out of all the cats I've had he's got the biggest variety of sounds, and they all mean different specific things.

An example of Boo's smarts is when he developed the "pass the pen" game several years ago. He wasn't just playing with the pen, he was demonstrating an understanding of structured rules and turn-taking--rules of his own creation, because if we did anything to disrupt the flow of the game, he didn't just start playing with the pen like any other cat would, he would just look at you like "Come on, do it right!"

I love the cat stealing the learningz. That is freaking awesome. I laughed enough that Priso came in from the kitchen to see what was so funny.

And Elessar's cat is gorgeous! I just want to push him over and rub my face all over his belly. Is he the kind of cat who lets you do that, like my Winston? Or is he the kind of cat who grabs suddenly and securely onto your head with all 18 claws, as if your cranium were suddenly the only buoy in a storm-tossed ocean, and then kicks you in the nostrils repeatedly with his jackrabbit legs whilst wearing a crazed expression, like my Mwnci?

I hope it's the former. Cause if it was the latter, I think I'd risk it anyway and then I'd have a scratched scalp and nostrils.

Hercule Parrot selects a yacht club drink chip from the change dish on my dining room buffet. He IS old enough to drink alcohol...he is 21 years old. And his favorite toys are things which are not his own but stuff that belongs to other people.
