Wow. This could be a lot of fun as a plot device.

I wrote a whole lot more than that, but I think I'd better just delete it all since this is religion.

Yes, very good. No discussions of religion without Bajorans or Khaliss or something. For instance, if we use that ek's article as a plot bunny for a Star Trek story, we can then discuss it.

That's just one of those things you can't make up. Proving that, occasionally, real life is more interesting than things like star trek...

It'd make an awesome M.A.S.H. episode ...

*shrugs* I'm an Army wife. This was not surprising as like the article says, the assistant doesn't have to have the same faith as the chaplain -- or have any religious beliefs at all. His job is to keep the chaplain alive and that's it. Of course, it helps if the chaplain doesn't put himself in danger.

Thinking on this plot bunny, if we assume that Starfleet chaplains follow the same basic rules as military chaplains today - ie, can't carry weapons - what happens if you have a race of militaristic people whose relgion, well, includes weapons and fighting as an integeral part? I'm thinking Kilingons mainly, but the bunny could extend to other races...

It made me think of someone who would like be assigned by starfleet to an important bajoran kai (who wouldn't carry weapons) or something. make a great ds9 story.

And just for Halloween (Samhain), here comes the Crone!

In case you are wondering, the additional tags read:
Remove before flight. (and I also have a T-shirt which says this)
Have you closed your flight plan.

8) The squirrel on the left does look just a little bit like Trip did when T'Pol suddenly kissed him...

(What the hell?)

Uh, Alelou, if (what the hell?) is referring to my second photo, LOL, it must be too much of a Pagan community humor thing combined with humor from pilot friends expressed with signs obtained at the Experimental Aircraft Show in Oshkosh Wisconsin. Oh well, sorry. :dunno:

 I have to admit, it, Linda. I didn't really get it. Thanks for the explanation!
