Well and I'm really not a fan of chatspeak/netslang either... unless it's spoken by a cat I guess they're too cute so they can get away with it. Plus don't forget that for a cat it's like a huge step from "meow". Give 'em some time I'm sure they'll learn to speak proper English someday.

This only shows that you haven't spent enough time around cats to fully appreciate their communication. My cat has a few different meows: there's her "I caught a toy mousie and I want to be praised for my hunting skills" meow, her "I want to be fed now" meow, her "this is agony" meow (reserved for baths, mostly), and her "pay attention to me" meow. Then there's her tail...
Cats do not need words. (But if they did use words, they'd be dignified enough to spell them correctly.)

cat macros were originally meant to make fun of internet speak and all the bad grammar ppl use online. yer not supposed to take them srsly. They're for when you're posting on a bbs and people start arguing over stupid crap, so you post one like this



to get people to stfu and reflect on how stupid they sound. From what I understand it actually works in most cases. It's like using the popcorn smilie - only more obnoxious.

I have quite the spoiled one at home now AND I almost brought home a wee kitten from my MIL's in Ohio this past weekend.

I just really don't like netspeak.

Looks like my backyard when I was growing up. Seriously. We had 18 or 19 cats at once when I was a teen. All were spayed and neutered too. I'm definitely a cat person, but I love all creatures. I prefer one cat at a time, though. Don't have one now, since we had to put my 16 year old kitty down last year.
