Fun with Photoshop (or GIMP for open source geeks)

Postby CoffeeCat » Mon Jun 04, 2007 1:02 am

I know it probably wasn't too smart of me to take up the photo editing hobby, but while I was going through a bunch of screencaps I couldn't resist...

Feel free to caption it if you'd like.

T'Pol: Why did you not assign this task to a junior engineer, and why did you request my assistance?
Trip (thinking): Maybe my attempts to spend time with T'Pol are getting a little transparent.

Maybe I'll try to correct the shading on that sucker tomorrow. Make it blend a little better. It's kinda mocked up right now because I made it with the GIMP. I'm more used to photoshop but I don't have it on my laptop.

GIMP?

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

GNU Image Manipulation Program - It's standard issue with modern linux

GNU = GNUs Not UNIX!

I am an uber geek! Cool Open source rules!

The second to last one make me feel a little uncomfortable. Confused

Yep. I LOVE open source. It's just that using the GIMP is like learing to ride a bike all over again...

LOL - those are funny.

I should try to remake the evil picture I made a few years ago. I took a cap from Enterprise's Strange New World and then one from Voyager's Blood Fever and mashed them together. The caption was something like...

"Paris: Take a few rock climbing lessons and suddenly I'm everyone's Pon Farr buddy."

The only problem is that this GIMP is such a pain in the ass to learn.
