San Antonio, Anyone?

Postby Distracted » Sun May 25, 2014 5:53 pm

I'm off Monday, May 26th, all by my lonesome to a college health conference in San Antonio for the week. I'd love to meet up with any TriS members in the area for dinner and/or sightseeing. Pm me if you can be in central Texas next week and you want to keep me company.

I'm afraid to be a wee bit out of reach.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

My son's stationed at Fort Hood, so I'll be visiting him on memorial day. It's not too far from Hood to San Antonio, but still impractical (logistically speaking) to get down there.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

Nowhere near, I'm afraid, but it's a great city to explore, even on your own. Don't miss the Alamo and the River Walk!

It's been more than 20 years that I have been in Texas (the "great" city of Tyler, Texas) and San Antonio was on my list of cities to visit (and I never went). Instead we made a road trip to Houston Space center if I remember correctly. Ah, sweet memories.

I would love to come, Distracted, but I can't. It's a bit far away.

Any way, did you heard that Scott Bukula plays in a show called NCIS New Orleans? I thought of you right away!

I've been afraid to watch it. Hollywood rarely does justice to the New Orleans accent. Always makes me cringe to hear what those guys think a native New Orleanian should sound like.

On a more positive note, the San Antonio River Walk is jaw droppingly gorgeous. Pics to follow when I can get them in daylight.

Some supporter you are. The Ragin' Cajuns are ranked best in the country and are hosting a NCAA baseball regional and you leave town. Shame I tell you, Shame!

On another note I have long wanted to visit San Antonio , soooo visit it for both of us!

I'm back in Louisiana now after a great convention, and I finally have time to post some pictures of the San Antonio Riverwalk. I had a great time.
