Where's that weather net?

Mentioned in TNG? Because we need one. Either that or a better system of safe rooms/cellars especially in public facilities. Devastating destruction from these storms seems to be becoming routine and clearly even construction that meets code is no match for them.

I hope Rigil Kent is okay.

What a horror.

The news from Oklahoma looks terrible, but I dread to think how much worse the disasters would be if the government took control of it. As the saying goes, to err is human, but to really screw things up takes a computer...

Rigil is OK! He doesn't live in the path the tornado took.

Oh, good.

Yeah, I suppose with a weather net, we'd have people fighting over who gets the rain. But I rather like some things government can do. I'm pretty damned sure the people of Moore appreciate the National Guard and all the other first responders right now. And the Senators from Oklahoma who tried to refuse Hurricane Sandy aid and cut FEMA's budget probably aren't going to refuse federal disaster relief for THEIR state.

And I need to shut down. We had a tornado nearby ourselves today, though it was no big deal compared to Oklahoma's. And here comes another round of storms...
