Orphan Black

Postby Kevin Thomas Riley » Fri Apr 26, 2013 10:54 pm

Anyone watching Orphan Black on BBC America? It's about a girl who finds out there are numerous clones of her out there, and they're being hunted. I've seen the first few episodes and I'm really enjoying it so far. Plus the girl (played by Tatiana Maslany) is pretty cute!

I'm puzzled - it looks as if that site is an owned by an offshoot of the British Broadcasting Corporation, but there's no hint of 'Orphan Black' on any of the UK sites.

Hubby and I are TIVOing it, and I'm hooked. The actress is really good at portraying all of her various alter egos, and the very flamboyant young man playing her foster brother Felix is a scream. I loved the episode where he babysat for her soccer mom alter ego and by the end of the evening both of the kids (a girl and a boy, I guess about 6 and 8 years old respectively) were cross-dressing and loving it.

Yeah, the show is made by BBC America (many actors are Canadian) and shown stateside. I have no idea if or when it will air on the real BBC.

Yes, I should have mentioned that too. She's a very good actress besides looking cute and having a nice bum.

Ah - but is it as good as Dollhouse?

Hmmm. Good question. I really liked Dollhouse, too, but this one's got a totally different vibe.

I'm just getting caught up on this one now. It's a Canadian show, filmed in Toronto - appears to be set there, too, even if they haven't come out and said it yet (I've only seen the first four episodes)...some vague references to neighbourhoods and locations around the city, Ontario licence plates, etc. I'm enjoying it a lot, so I'm glad to hear it's being renewed.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for it.

No spoilers, please - we're British.
