I haven't done a thing to prepare for it this year. Sigh. It might just end up being a gift card and would-you-like-this-valuable-thing-we-don't-want-to-have-to-move Christmas.

Or you could give people my paperback! LOL. Check out the funky new cover: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DHX0GNS (US) or http://www.amazon.uk/dp/B00DHX0GNS (UK).

We got most of our shopping done yesterday. We also found Cinnabon here in Tokyo! Still pretty tasty. I think it's the butter-creamcheese frosting. I ordered our Christmas cards and they're currently en route from our US PO box. Not sure if we'll be able to get them sent prior to Christmas, though.

got all our cards out last week. My brother's card always arrives about Dec 1. Kinda jump starts things. As we're hosting things this year the massive clean up is underway. Da wife is even wiping down walls. Got the ham on order and the neighbor has suggested that he and I make the Kielbasa from scratch Saturday. He's supposed to get me a grocery list. Never have made it before but he does regularly. fresh and smoked, he has a smoker. Shopping is near complete.

On a weather note northern Michigan's snowfall is greatly influenced by the Great Lakes and we are having a bumper crop of the white crap this year. Not to bad by me but in Gaylord they already have 75" which is half their seasonal total. I doubt I have had more than 25" so far. I could double that if I lived 20 miles further north...

I did order one paperback to give as a gift. :) The next copy will be mine, though.

:) Thanks, Bether.

You people who are so prepared for Christmas -- all I can say is arghhhhhhhhh!

I've been seriously procrastinating this year. On everything.

I just calculate the time left before Christmas in microseconds. That way procrastinating doesn't seem so bad.

Woo Woo, as previously reported my neighbor invited me over for a Kielbasa making fun fest tomorrow night. I picked up 33 lbs of pork butt and I am ready. We are gonna smoke some of it on Saturday. Xmas is tasting better already!!! Oh and shopping is done for both the wife and I.

Weeble,

Thanks for getting this going again. Maybe it will help me get going on all the things I need to do before Christmas!

Operation Kielbasa is nearly complete. 26 Lbs. made. about half is happily in the smoker the rest is in the fridge. We took a time out for taste testing this morning. Homemade bread with weeble's blackberry jelly, scrambled eggs with cheese and morel mushrooms, and oh yeah some fresh kielbasa patties. Oh and coffee with bailey's. life is really rough around here.

Wife is done dusting, so now its time to wrap stuff and get it under the tree. :happyjump:

I tracked down Anna Hess. She's had enough of space travel and is nesting on the planet, big time: http://www.amazon.com/Anna-Hess/e/B004YEICRG/ref=ntt_athr_dp_pel_1 (and her ebook about cover crops is free today).

Merry Christmas / Happy New Year / Happy Whatever Else You Celebrate

My resolutions this year include catching up on fanfic and getting poor Trip out of his hole on Vulcan.

Just come home from a meal out to celebrate our son's 21st birthday today (hell, that was BAD timing!)

Best wishes and Merry Christmas to everybody, and I hope you all have a happy and prosperous New Year!
