Well, our furniture and other stuff arrived from Japan. 387 items/boxes to be opened and put into place. Oh, my back!

387 boxes from Tokyo. I didn't think that places in Japan (especially Tokyo) were big enough to hold that many boxes of stuff!

I am sure you will find years from now that some boxes are still unpacked. When my dad passed, I brought back a number of boxes of stuff that I thought would be nice to have, but most are still untouched (e.g. power tools).

None of my business, but where did you move to (approximately)?

We are in Cupertino, in the SF Bay Area. The area has definitely changed a lot. Still have a lot of boxes to unpack.

I don't know how long you were in Tokyo but I imagine

You can't swing a cat without hitting an Apple building around here. I can't complain too much, though, the fruit company paid for our relo. Now, if I could just get my old office back I would be a happy camper.

Not a whine, but more an thing that I noticed: the forum looks very different now, but it's easier to write a note. 8) 8)
