Some friends and I watched Lady Gaga get eaten by sequins! That's funny as can be even when you're drinking sparkling cider instead of champagne.

Oh, a link please! I LOVE Lady Gaga. My twins turned 21 today! So I had double reason to worry about drinking on New Year. But they are safe here at home this morning. I called them all at midnight, and their older brother to tell them no binge drinking. The older brother gave me a very sincere, "I would never put my brother's in danger." So . . . I've did what I could do.

Wow! I had to edit that to SIX years old. YIKES! AND THANK YOU, Alelou. That story took me forever to write. It was my second Enterprise story. I read it now and remember how in love with Enterprise I was.

It was kind of a joke. We were commenting about her outfits for the Dick Clark special, and we decided that she'd been eaten by a black sequined amoeba and then replaced with a glittery mask. You kind of had to be there.

I like her too, but I do reserve the right to poke fun at her image, particularly when I'm hanging out with a bunch of eighties kids that grew up on Madonna (who, of course, was accused of ripping off Marilyn Monroe...)

We'll now return you to your regular New Year's thread before I embarrass myself further.

Oh don't worry. I am also of the age where I am supposed to defend the honor of Madonna against this crazy newcomer, only I don't see it that way. I find Lady Gaga outrageously talented. Many of the songs are inspiring and all of them make you feel very alive. I like her energy and her inclusiveness. I am entertained by her shocking stunts. I like it when a performer puts it all out there for her fans.
