Cogito, that URL works but I cannot get my damned Computer to change the bookmark to the new URL. Damned server keeps crewing things up. I try changing it and I get switched to my e-mail. I tired deleting the old book mark and I can't do that either. This damend server is the biggest pain in the Ass ever known to man. I fight it each morning just to get on without constant stoppages and interrutions.

Something worked. got the new URL as my bookmark all of a sudden. This damned Server is driving me loony.

I hope you realise that the computer is just messing with you. As the Intel advert goes, "where do you want to go today?". The unedited version ends with an evil grin: "Ha! I don't think so!"




If all else fails just hold the ctrl key down and press 'D' to create a new bookmark.

I see that there is a new phone out that has captioning like a TV. since I am hard of hearing it sounds good but I am not too sure since the only info I can obtain is through a salesman. Think I would be in for a good arm twisting.

A phone that does captioning? Sounds like a damned good idea but I had no idea such a thing existed. Stick to computers, that way everything is written anyway.

Cogito, I don't have my phone on the internet. I am hard of hearing (wear two Hearing aids) so a phone which has captioning would be a godsend for me.I just hate like hell to have a salesman call.

That sounds interesting. I found one captioning phone at captel.com. Looks like the captioning work is actually done by an online service so you need two phone lines or broadband internet. They won't tell you the price which probably means it is expensive if your insurance doesn't cover it.

Putaro, there is something called CaptionCall. That is what I have been looking at. Apparently if one can prove he/she is hard of hearing the service is free. All one needs to do is pay for the locense. Howver, I don't trust them. No real info about any hidden costs. Rhe site claims no monthly fees or other hidden costs but the devil is always in the details. Having a slaesman call leads to misconceptions. They always skim over little things that jack up the price and tell you how wonderful their product is. Lots of arm twisting.

One can connect to the internet by a wireless device. Anyway, too much touble.

I submitted the second chapter of World of Ice six days ago. Because mostly my experience is that stories are put up within a couple of days, I wondered if - in light of the troubles and attacks warnings this site was having -

- is putting stories up on hold, because of the work to fix the site?

or - due to my computer crash - did something go wrong, my story disappeared in hyber space and TRIS didn't received my story?

Panysann, Since it seems that EK is putting up the stories these days she has not accessed her PM's in a few days. Your story is probbly in her inbox. When she comes up for air on saturday she probably will put your chapter up gladly.
