Re: Whether outside your window
Weather outside my house is a bit cold, about zero degrees Fahenheit and dipping below that at times. There is about a foot of snow on the ground. I put out bird seed in the walkway we shovel from the house to the garage. We have birds, squirrels, and rabbits eating the bird seed every day. My computer room in the basement is not heated by the gas furnace which heats the rest of the house, so that I must use a portable electric heater in there. The last couple of days, I have been keeping my time on the computer short as my fingers get stiff on the keyboard. Since we are close to Lake Michigan, the lake moderates the temperature and it is not as cold as further inland.

The snow has begun!
The weather people are saying things like "Storm of the century," "Blizzaster," "Snopocalypse," "Payalyzing Blizzard," etc. They are predicting 25 foot waves off of Lake Michigan that could flood Lake Shore Drive.
My son's school is closing at noon and they already canceled for tomorrow.
This could be interesting..........

Illinois is in deep financial trouble, too, SB. No place is perfect.

EK, that is a normal balmy day in the Pacific Northwest. I lived in Washington state for years. In the small town I last lived in we got five feet of rain a year. Here in Arizona we get five inches. Dry, brown and warm. Not cool, wet and green.

Had some rain a couple of days ago, but today was nice. Partly cloudy, high in the low 60's. Last rocket attack was about a week ago.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

Re: Weather outside your window
Well, everyone, overnight we got "a little weather". It is a moonscape out there - but white instead of grey. There are wind-sculpted drifts high has our hedge (hedge is as tall as me). And drifts against the garage door HIGHER than me. I thought I was prepared with a stack of wood laid in so we could heat the first floor of our house with our franklin stove if the heat gas furnace (electric starter) went out. And I made a crock pot full of beef and vegies yesterday. But I left my dang winter boots in the van. And the van is in the garage. And the garage door is pasted shut so that in order to shovel the front walk and side of the house in my boots, I first have to shovel out the garage in my shoes. How stupid could I get, LOL? Nature in northern climes is only kind to those smart enough to work with her.
I will post photos when the wind stops howling and I can stand up straight enough outside to take pictures of the moonscape.
