Personality Test
Has anyone ever taken this test? I think maybe there was a link here before. I now test as an INFJ. Supposedly, it is only 1% of the population. I had Eric take it and the ENTJ description was rather frighteningly accurate. What does everyone else test as?

Re: Personality Test
We're all a bunch of introverts. Why is that not a surprise?

Re: Personality Test
Appearently I am an INFJ. I don't like the fact that it said I have a judging personality, I TRY actively not ot judge anyone but myself.
Some of these people haven't taken their medication. Let's see what happens now...

Me too! Only I'm only moderately introverted, slightly sensing and thinking, and I'm judging A LOT, apparently. Not actually a surprise that I rate that way, come to think of it. Just ask my kids.
Ummm...why does that rate the Evil Monkey of Doom?

Re: Personality Test
Well most of this test doesn't make any sense to me. I dunno there's just so many statements that I just can't answer with a simple yes or no. If I had to take that test for something my answers would either be mostly random or I'd just leave most of it empty. And then someone's gonna say I have no personality or something oh well, after all I don't believe in social standards and don't conform to them, so why should standardized ANYTHING be able to classify someone like me.
And just for the record I totally do have a personality, you just wouldn't be able to tell that from a bunch of specified targeted questions that are so specified and targeted that they miss the whole point. I'm sorry it just doesn't make any sense to me. It's like with quizzes like say "which ENT character are you" or whatever, that instead of statements that match you with the personality of certain characters, they'd put statements like "I have pointy ears (yes/no)" or whatever.

Re: Personality Test
Well, it's at least consistent. I just took it again and my score hadn't changed from twenty years ago, except that I was perhaps more moderate in more categories.
I was also bemused to see that I'm therefore supposed to be in the natural sciences, teaching about the natural sciences, doing computer programming or information technology, a corporate lawyer, or a librarian. Does being on a library board count?
Maybe I missed my calling.
Did you folks check your 'recommended careers'? Did they match your actual careers?
We were all extremely skeptical about the corporate effort to do this exercise with the whole management staff at my division, but after we took it we were also freaked out at how well they all seemed to match the real personalities of the people we were working with. Unfortunately, it didn't really help us work together any better...but we had a hell of a good time discussing it.

'Cause he's funny! Yeah, no other reason. I already knew I think stuff way too much...
(This monkey and I go way back. Back when I had an office job, we each had to choose a monkey to identify us--some stupid team building activity or something like that--and I chose Evil!Monkey.)

Re: Personality Test
Actually the career thing was FRIGHTENINGLY accurate everything I have ever considered being. Writer was at the top of the list. However I still don't like my judging score.

Re: Personality Test
I think the description of mine is really accurate.
very expressed introvert
slightly expressed intuitive personality
moderately expressed feeling personality
moderately expressed judging personality
For professions, it lists counselor or psychologist, which I found extremely interesting. I've been having trouble getting this out of mind lately. It feels like a need or drive or even a calling. It's ridiculous. I feel so stupid that I just now realized what I want to be when I grow up now that I'm half-dead.
Anyhow as I was reading Eric's I couldn't believe it. It described him basically to a tee. Boy, are we opposites...
I noticed a lot of thinkers on the boards here. I'm a feeler of course. No surprise there.
