At least my news is probably going to be okay. :crosses fingers:

My silly Dal-face (Dallas) ate a mushroom in the forest today and now he's allllllll high.

He's totally dizzy and on a total shroom trip. It'd be funny if I wasn't scared.

And Priso is taking him to emergency right now.

This comes less than 1 week since our black cat Mwnci got a high fever and had to have a $650 exam/xray/iv/medication/Rx .

So I am spending all my money on fixing the pets. Sure glad that those 6 days in the people-hospital earlier this month didn't cost me $11,000.

Send me good pet vibes.

Hmmmm. I wonder if Dallas left any magic mushrooms behind in the woods?

Dallas the now-$600-more-expensive-dog is coming home this morning.

He was fine....he just slept it off while vomiting all over the vet's.


What a shroomy stoner he is.

Yesterday I had to clean up the cat's vomit on my office carpet AND across the inside of my library binder. (This will teach me to leave work strewn on the floor.)

I'm sorry your catand dog have gotten sick. I know how stressful it is to deal with more than one cat being ill at the same time. I hope they get well soon.

Aureilia went to get him (with her dad) and apparently, Dal jumped up and down with her and then tried to eat some of the other dogs in the waiting room. He's fine now.

After the expense, I sure hope your pets are now well and that they won't do that again!

But one good thing about Vets, they get right on it and cure your pet. Twice when my daughter was little both she and one of our pets was ill at the same time. So I called the pediatrician and the vet with in a minute of each other and got both their answering services. The vet called back within fifteen minutes. The pediatrician called back after an hour.

So peaceful in that photo. Like, aw, they sleep together! To add insult to empty wallet, your pets probably shun you for taking them to that nasty vet place! Right Well, my pets do, L L. The rabbit turns her back to me when we get home and the bird paces and mutters.

I know what you mean. Once when my daughter's bunny was sick, she got so stressed out at the vet's that she passed out. Fell right out of the chair. Very scary. Everyone at the office was so concerned and caring. But later when I took her to the doctor's office to have it checked out, the doctor rolled his eyes at me and told me there was nothing wrong with her.
