The Bot is Back

Postby CX » Tue May 01, 2007 7:09 pm

I'm guessing all those blocks you had in place before the crash are gone now, so that pesky Google Bot is nosing around again. Frakkin' Bots...

Those, however, don't show up 30,000+ times in a month like Googlebot does. They don't even break 1,000 visits in a month.

How about this one? I'm not sure--get them to march up and down a bit...

Don't worry about it, TPoptarts. It doesn't use up that much bandwidth (it doesn't even use 20 MB of bandwidth a month).

Unlike Googlebot, which used by itself over a GB of bandwidth in January... which is why Googlebot's banned and the MSNbot isn't.

Well, it's only had about 100 hits or so at this point on the site (I checked the stats page, which is finally working again after going down again on May 16th, a little while ago). I'm going to let it be for now, though if it continues to show up over the next few days, I'll probably get rid of it.
