Glad to be of assistance, since I'm a techno-ignoramus.

I wrote a poem about that once. See?

TECHNOFRUSTRATION

Modems, routers, warp core breaches,
All the same to me.
Subspace channels, DSL
Both make me want to flee.

I'm a techno-ignoramus,
Clueless all the time.
I fake it when I can. I'm just
So stupid it's a crime.

Speak slowly when you brag about
Your latest software treat.
When I say "Apple", I don't mean
The ones that I can't eat.

I've learned to email. That's enough,
And word processing's cool.
White-Out's overrated, too.
I'm not a total fool.

But I'm not ready yet for stuff
That I can't understand,
So please be merciful to me,
And virtually hold my hand.

Rolling Eyes

Okay... now I'm really scratching my head. I commented on Linda's latest poem. I'd just looked at Bether's poem without commenting. When my comment posted on Linda's poem, a duplicate post showed up for Bether's. What's up with that? I only put in one code.

Uh, as of the time of this post, I can't see any comments on any of the stories or poems. Maybe that is a good thing - Distracted has stumped me with her latest in the POV challenge. Saves me from admitting that in the poetry section.

It's doing the same thing to me, Linda. I'm pretty sure they're working on it, though. As for Distracted's poem, well, maybe we can contemplate about who it might be in the poetry thread for the meantime.

That is because the damage to the database has also taken out the comments block. I am working on it. DW Smile

Is anyone else finding that they have to log in each time they come to the board... ever since it went down.

I have checked the box that says "Remember me" but it does not...LOL..

Never had this problem before and its only this board that is not remembering...

Is there a setting undone, or am I the only one.

It logged me in just fine (and I have it set to remember me), chris...
Was this the army that invaded your country, ma'am? No, officer, they were taller than that...

How about this one? I'm not sure--get them to march up and down a bit...

Everything is OK here, do you have cookies enabled? Maybe delete the cookies once and try again so that TriS uses a new one.

I guess the comments section on the stories is still being worked on? Will it be back up or should we post story comments on this board instead?

fot the time being, use the BBS. The database for the comments was messed up BIG TIME (that is, It aint there anymore Embarassed ) It's gonna take some time to replace the story pages. I am just glad that it happened now rather than when we have 500+ fics (like HoT does).
