Vanishing threads?

Can someone tell me what happened to Weeble's Olympic Games thread? It seems to have gone AWOL :(

There was a ton (and I mean a ton) of spam threads and comments this morning. It might have gotten swept out in the general housekeeping.

A suggestion for the admins/mods: The board software should make it possible to put a new user on moderated posting. Only after several (lets say 5) posts have been approved, a user should be allowed to post without restriction. That would be a mild nuisance for newbies, but at least it would make it harder for those spam-kids to litter our little hideout with their commercial crap. :reddawn:

Sorry, Dis, apology not accepted...because you don't owe any apologies for making a few mistakes in cleaning out that rather horrible list of spam threads. We'll suck it up and deal. :)
