Sorry not sure how to do this... But this is the 3rd time I've seen a thread like this. viewtopic.php?f=6&p=80467#p80467 It seems we're being invaded. <sigh> I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later. At the KOTOR site there's a special thread to report these things. I don't know how you'd want to work it Boss, but I figure somebody should get a head's up.

I've been clicking the little red question mark in the bottom right hand corner to report them, and I assume that gets the attention of our friendly mods somehow.

Those whacky mods are on the case and lowering the Banhammer... or TS equivalent. There are PM's flying back and forth at the moment on how to deal with it and those with more sense than me are answering those questions.

Names have been taken. Butts are being kicked. The trash is being taken out.

Let us all hail dark_rain! The spammers from Eastern Europe (dozens+dozens of them) have been defeated! The captcha requirement for registering new accounts has been turned into all-Trek questions&answers instead....to defeat both bots and non-Trek-loving humans! :lol:

(The ?'s are easy enough, and really, if you don't know who Captain Archer is, you're probably in the wrong place.)

It's been 3 days and the spammers haven't made a peep!

PS ~ Did you know dark_rain just toils endlessly behind the scenes and never makes any fanfare about it and has PERSONALLY written a pile of the code that allows us to have some really nice features on this bboard? I didn't. :oops:

Allow me to downplay my significance with the backend coding quite a bit. The real hard work there is done by the one and only mjimeyg who does an absolutely fantastic job and deserves far more praise than I for his input! Here's to you, buddy!
