verification code for story comments

is malfunctioning. It has changed to a short strip of letters and numbers - print style, and not incursive. This new code thing is WITHOUT the option of requesting a new code because you can't read the current code. And I tried four times to type it exactly but got an error message each time, for Misplaced's chapter 4 of Unexpected Too. I tried leaving comments for a couple of other stories and got the same problem. This may be preventing people from leaving comments on ANY story!

We're on it. Yesterday I was informed that for some time now there's been frustration with the fact that you lose comments if you type in the wrong captcha, so I sent Mike after fixing the glitch. That glitch ahs been fixed but any time you monkey around with something there's always a chance you flip a switch by accident. We'll have it back up ASAP.
