Mind you, Distracted, not everyone is really comfortable with allowing shady entities like google or faceborg to execute scripts on their computers. Both are known to aggressively harvest user data for commercial purposes. I've done some tests and some digging to shed some light on the captcha implementation:

  • To use Triaxian Silk in any fashion, you have to have Javascript enabled at least for our domain (triaxiansilk.com). Without JavaScript the front page becomes almost completely inoperable, since the menu is completely handled in Javascript for some unknown reason.
  • To use the "de luxe" version of the Captcha you need to allow Javascript for the domains triaxiansilk.com, recaptcha.net, google.com.
  • There is a "noscript" version of the captcha for users with deactivated Javascript, but that's as useful as a chocolate fireguard, because it uses an IFrame - one of the most commonly used element for website scams and therefore disallowed in many browser configurations. Furthermore is it cumbersome to use and to top it off, the submit button calls a Javascript function, rendering the whole malarkey inoperable.
