Re: Wanna help me win a prize?
You know, T'Poptarts, my granddaughter, Skyelar, age 3 1/2, loves cartoons. I could go on my daughter's machine and 'help' her leave a comment for you. How many days left to do this? I am not sure when, maybe Sunday night I could get to it on my daughter's computer. I'm out of town all Friday and part of this coming weekend, having a union event and having to teach a boating course. I could get my husband to do it too. But I'd like to try, if you all don't think it would be cheating too much. My daughter and grandkids could leave comments. But if that is cheating too much, let me know.

Re: Wanna help me win a prize?
If you do that, Linda, I'd highly recommend NOT letting her actually WATCH the cartoon. It's sort of PG-13 1/2 rated for language, or at least I think so. It's not T'Poptart's fault, though. She's got to imitate the original. At least it's better than the real South Park. I can't even watch that, it's so filthy.

LOL, I never actually watched South Park but I did watch T'Poptart's video. No, Skyelar watches Spongebob and the ilk. She is not ready for Star Trek in any of its forms yet.

Okay, guys, just for you! I rejoined TrekSpace, ONLY for you guys, and put up a similar discussion as I did on VulcanSpace. It seems to be working and the links from this thread are there and working. With over a thousand members on that site, I hope at least a few of them will go to Myfandom.com and leave comments. Check out the discussion under The Collective section, discussion named "Fan Fiction Writers in Need of Your Support".
This comes at a price - ya gotta beta my next piece of ST story drivil!
No, just kidding!!! You guys all deserve a little more recognition.

Re: Wanna help me win a prize?
You are welcome! Okay, I am offline until Sunday now - going out of town for a labor union convention and teaching a boating class when I return. I will try to strong arm some story comments out of my relations on Sunday.

Ok, signed up and already commended on Distracted and T'Poptarts' things. Who else wanted a comment?

Links? (so I don'tt have to go back through and look for them)
Re: Wanna help me win a prize?
So what are the rules for this competition, aside from needing 20 comments?
Re: Wanna help me win a prize?
Um... it has to be in the sci-fi genre and the fics have to be at least 4 chapters of at least 2 full pages each, and for fanart and fanvids they have to have a rating of at least 8 stars. That's what they require just to be IN the contest (like otherwise they don't even judge them)
