:tears: I'm rather partial to Pre-Raphealite art myself.

Alas, this response says a lot.

(Perhaps that's an Austerity Fairy in the background.)

Well, this is a fine example of humor. I do not know whether it may be called British, American or Italian. But it works. :hatsoff:

Hey! I didn't ask to be born where I was.

Maybe if you explained how it works, we would get it. Or maybe not. Humor is often very dependent on a shared cultural background.

(As for those precepts that irritated you in the other thread: That list is funny because each sentence commits the very sin it is condemning.)

I understood this, I am slightly slow, but not too much. I was speaking in general. :shifty:

I see that there are a couple of recent stories that are being posted as forum topics rather than as conventional stories. Neither of them are TnT stories; one doesn't seem to be a Trek story at all.

I want to make it clear that I'm not objecting in any way to the stories or how they're published. Neither of them has the same appeal for me that TnT fiction does, but I'm sure they're fine stories and it's nice to see them being posted.

I just wondered if this is a conscious decision to expand into stories that are outside the normal scope for the site, and to experiment with new ways to post them, given that both options have been discussed here recently.

The only conscious decision on my part was that I decided not to object to them, (despite the fact that story posting really hasn't been done on our board before) since BolianAdmiral was kind enough to offer them. We don't have a section to post them in the archive.

I thought it was rather clever of him to bypass that limitation to post them himself directly on the forum. There's no rule against it that I know of and the threads are clearly marked. Does anyone object to it? If so, I can try to come up with an alternative solution. Maybe asking him to post links instead of the full content. But it doesn't seem that much different than CX's review threads except for the fact that it's fiction.

Maybe we just sort out the posting process. That way nobody has to be "creative" by posting on the boards.

There's nothing to sort out. We have an Enterprise fanfiction archive. Neither story is Enterprise fanfiction. Since the consensus at this point seems to be that we're keeping our focus the same and concentrating on improving tech, I don't think we're going to post them on the story page anytime soon. But the board has always been open to threads on practically anything that might interest our members.

I have no objection, and I'd be happy if BolianAdmiral found some readers that way. I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with the show and therefore not interested myself.

Elessar gave me his permission to post my stories in the "Other Trek" area, until he can find a more suitable place for them. He had no objections to my posting them on this site, and I did ask him if it was okay with him before I did.

And your stories are very welcome. Thank you. 8)
