Those folks who are making the YouTube videos for an Enterprise season 5 have a new web site up and apparently ambitious plans to keep going. I do find them intriguing and they've generally gotten better as they go along. There's some shippiness, but not much.

I've heard about it but was afraid to take a look. It's not too bad then?

No, I'm actually kind of surprised at how effectively they recycle old shots into new story lines. It's sort of like an animated comic book but using still photos instead of art, plus a rather nice soundtrack. They must have a lot of patience to put it together. I do definitely fast forward through the opening credits and the early episodes spent half the time at the end just giving you endless still shots for no apparent reason, which would be my signal to click off.

I can't imagine how many times you'd have to watch each episode to accomplish something like this - it's really quite impressive, not to mention post-modern and meta and all that.

I know. A lot of the scenes aren't even necessarily things I even remember. I wonder if they think 'oh remember that two second shot of Travis when his face looked like this? that would be perfect for this scene!' lol it would be hard.

I would think they must have to build these giant folders of shots for each character.

Soundtrack snippets, too.

It's quite an accomplishment.
