That is a personality trait in itself. There are people who simply don't stand out. I personally think he seeks to not stand out. Pilots are generally somehow cocky and he isn't. He obviously can flirt easily with his face and body, but he doesn't.

There has to be some reason for him (a talented and handsome pilot) to have a so low profile.

Remember, there aren't boring characters, only lazy writers :D

Are you saying I'm <cough> lazy <cough>? :faint: I guess I just think Pilots should stand out somehow. It's interesting that you think that life experience determines personality though. It hasn't been the case in my life.

OK I'm relieved. Although I have seen some fic writers jus kill the guy off. Now that is lazy and something I would never do.

You're kidding right? :guffaw: I missed that one. Anyway I once read a story and in the opening paragraph it announced Travis was dead. I was like, "hey at least write him a death scene, redshirts get better than that." Wow OK I feel better.

:lol: No, no kidding, Disruption has Travis dead. I must say in my defense that I wasn't going to kill him at first until Narrative Logic pointed out that if T'Pol wasn't onboard, Travis would have suffered a lobotomy in "Singularity" :D
