fate of Columbia question

Postby Linda » Wed May 16, 2007 6:54 pm

I picked up this book of Star Trek ship paintings that were from Star Trek calendars. One of the paintings was the wreck of Columbia half buried in the sand of some desert planet in the Gama Quadrant. Apparently there is a DS9 episode which mentions that is where Columbia was found two centuries after the ship disappeared from the Alpha Quadrant. Anyone know which DS9 episode that was? Or if it wasn't a DS9 episode, where the reference to the wreck of Columbia is from?
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

I'm pretty sure that someone asked about this in the TrollBBS Literature boards a while back, and Ms. Clark stated that the image in question was not "official," therefore that isn't going to be the fate of Columbia.

This from Memory Alpha, because it was going to drive me nuts until I found out:
According to the non-canon Star Trek: Ships of the Line book, the Columbia crashed on a desert planet in the Gamma Quadrant, and remained there for two centuries. It was apparently discovered during the early months of the Dominion War.

Pure propaganda. I already know what happened to Columbia. Twisted Evil

You do know? Of course you do, if it was some of your Romulan relatives that snatched Columbia, heh, Rigil? We will be seeing the daughter of Columbia's captain with ridges on her forehead?

Uh ... nope. You've read Elysium, yes? Recall the statue scene?

Or just read his latest fic to find out what he says happened to Columbia.
Was this the army that invaded your country, ma'am? No, officer, they were taller than that...

How about this one? I'm not sure--get them to march up and down a bit...
