Acrostic Challenge

Okay. The bio-poem thread is fizzling out. So here's another writing challenge. This one anyone can do. There's no guessing. Someone will pick a name of a person, episode, device... whatever as long as it's identifiably from ST. Write a descriptive non-rhyming poem about that word using the letters of the name or word as the first letter of each line. Once you're done, give another name or episode or whatever for the next person to use.

Here's an example:

Every warp coil and plasma conduit
Needs the loving care
That only a country boy from Florida could
Ever lavish on something he
Really loves
Practically more than he loves his own mother
Radically more than he loves bugs and slimy things
Infinitely more than he loves desert heat
Somewhat more than he loves pecan pie, but
Evidently not quite as much as he loves one particular Vulcan.

Got it?

Okay. The next word is "Harbinger".

Here is my attempt for Harbinger:

Hardly touching
Always moving
Rubbing slowly, softly teasing
Boldly
Impudently claiming
Never ceasing to explore
Gazing, gasping, grasping gently
Exquisitely
Rare. And MINE.

If this passes muster, your next challenge is: Triaxian Silk :D

This one was evil. Do you realize how hard it is to find a word beginning with x that works in poetry?

Touching cool smoothness wrapping
Rounded limbs
In candle light's
AmbientĀ
Xanthic glow,
I slide the slight weight of it down golden
Arms which stretch to reach around my
Neck.

Silken folds fall, revealing
Infinite possibilities, and
Loveliness incarnate, to which I must respond with a
Kiss.

The next word is Cogenitor. :D

No, I hadn't thought that one though. For a moment I was all ready to feel sympathetic for you, and then I thought: what was season three all about, then? :D

Great job anyway, Distracted.

"Xindi" wouldn't have worked. Too much of a stretch. The subject of the poem is supposed to be the word you're spelling. "Xindi" has nothing to do with the subject of the poem.

Anybody want to give "Cogenitor" a try?

"Too much of a stretch", says the lady who worked in "xanthic". :tears:

Okay. I guess nobody likes "cogenitor".

Hmmmm. How about *the_abomination*?

Not a matter of not liking - just that all my free time is being spent on a different project at the moment - one that might involve you shortly.
