Okay. Shot in the dark.

Malcolm when he's caught working for Section 31. Was that Countdown?

Trip in "Unexpected"?

No, not Trip.

Since I seem to have made this harder than I intended, I'll tell you that 'she' is T'Pol. I don't imagine you'll have any trouble guessing who wants T'Pol to smile at them and became angry when told they were in the wrong.

I don't have a clue, then. Wouldn't it have have to be someone with a high level of paranoia and anger (unless he or she really is being sneered at by everyone) and little to no understanding of Vulcans?

Oh, wait a minute. That little creepy Ferengi dude?

Or somebody who understood vulcans all too well and wanted to change this particular vulcan? (Oh yes, still with the paranoia and the anger and the sneering.)

Okay, so this reminds me of one of those SAT questions I've been getting via email because my son was registered for the test and how I kept trying to get this one math question right and instead ended up clicking every possible wrong answer.

Honestly, I give up. I just don't get it.

Was Fusion in season one? Tolaris seemed pretty eager to have T'Pol do something with him. Dunno if I buy that a smile was all he wanted, but he might have certainly been paranoid and angry, as nuts as he was.

So.... I'm guessing Tolaris in Fusion.

Yes, it was Tolaris in Fusion. I don't know that a smile was all he wanted, alarm bells were screaming when he was alone with T'Pol, but at least he wanted her to stop suppressing her emotions.

I wish I were gifted with the ability to see beyond his disguise
Like his mysterious companions do, their manner speaking of his authority even when their voices do not.
And I dream of a place where my simple cures are obsolete, a place where disease holds no dominion.
I am only an apothecary, a compounder of powders and potions.
I used to believe that what I did was science
But now I have seen things which defy belief.
I seem to be confident of my powers of scientific observation
But I'm really just scrambling to catch up with the wonders of his world.

Whatshername in "Civilization."

You've definitely got plenty of context clues in this one!

I guess I'll give you that one. Her name was Riann.

Your turn.

I wish I could whip up a big pot of soup –
Like chicken soup with noodles, or rice –
And I dream of baking pie after pie.
I am supposed to keep them happy and fed.
I used to not even think twice about it,
But now it’s a struggle just to boil water.
I may seem to be handling this catastrophe,
But I feel like a pot about to boil over.
