No, just something to prove that she can be a hero on her own, without needing help. Mal can be the one worrying back home for a change. He can also be there to tell her how happy he is to see her again when she gets back.

Nah, I meant HOSHI kills the Brit. She caught that limey bastard watching some illicitly acquired videos of Trip & T'Pol doing the horizontal rumba (vids that both Trip and T'Pol would be infuriated to know even existed), and Ms. Sato realized he was lusting after one of them (she wasn't sure which.) In a fit of rage, she killed him with her bare hands (being a Super!Ninja, according to Observer Effect despite the previous three years evidence to the contrary) and was promptly recruited into Section 31 for her mad killing skillz...

Actually killing him off and making Hoshi off go into Section 31 might be a cool idea. Maybe have her altered to look like say a Romulan and do some spy stuff. Have Malcom find out and go to save her and have her rescue him. Just a thought. It could be used to pair T'Pol and Trip maybe have them pretend to defect?
