The same goes for CX's Star Trek: Phoenix Rising. I especially like the Jellico and Shelby vibes. In fact, why not actually have those two characters? I've always thought they got a bad rap on TNG, and the fact that they both clashed with Riker is a big plus in my book.

Amasov because he was mentioned as the CO of the Endeavour, and not Shelby because I thought it would be over the top to have so many characters from TNG since I already have Selar, Taurik, and Sela. I'd rather have my own main characters anyway, so I have more flexibility with them.

The irony about Shelby is that she actually could've been Riker's first officer if Patrick Steward hadn't agreed to renew his contract. That was actually part of why TBoBW was written in such a way that they could've killed Picard, and since Riker had already been given a field promotion at that point, all the pieces were in place to continue the show with Riker in command and Shelby as his first officer.

Another thought on my Seven of Nine is that I'd actually leave her in her standard drone appearance for a while. I know this was actually Braga's original plan and the UPN suits made him go with what they ended up doing, but I don't have to deal with UPN fortunately. Plus it was a good idea. Not because it makes her less about being eye candy and more about becoming human again, but because I want her to make the choice to remove those implants on her own, not just because she'll be easier on the eyes to the crew.

Anyway, just for another tease, I actually had an artist friend of mine start on some character models for me so I could give my audience a better idea of what to visualize. He went by the handle REB but has since disappeared from the net due to a lack of time. He used a 3-D program called Poser. The pic of Amasov isn't his though, it was made as concept art for the game Star Trek: Invasion. These are for my Star Trek: Phoenix Rising series, BTW.

Do you have drawings and/or "pretty pictures" of all your original characters, or just these four? Please, whatever you do, don't turn your crushing OPS officer into another Harry Kim! And what about that hideously scarred First Officer? Since you aren't using Shelby, I mean.

I wouldn't say that she's horribly scarred, but she does have a cut on her cheek. I was thinking possibly Hillary Swank, but to be honest I haven't given it much thought. As for pictures of the other characters, not really. REB started on Amasov, but he never got a chance to finish. He also started on another character, but again he never finished.
