Well, I'm a fast reader (I can skim comprehensively) but mostly, I'm a trainwreck reader. If something's awful enough, I'll just keep going to see if it gets worse. This being the internets, there probably is some hidden niche of trek fans who write Archer/Porthos, and feel horribly dissed at being marginalized. That doesn't mean I'm going to google "Archer", "Porthos" and "4 letter word" to find out.

I'm the same. I'll read anything. I might be vaguely nauseated as I do so... but it's like a compulsion. :?

Heh, no. This was some sort of freaky bestiality fic. I just assumed it was either a sillyfic dare or a hatefic at the time. :wtf: Or it was really meant to be erotic. This is the internet, after all.

The horror. The horror.

I take that back. It's doubtful that I'd be able to stomach something like that. :upchuck:

When ENT first aired there was a series of very ugly BDSM Trip/T'Pol fics stemming from the infamous "split you in two" line...other then that, that's about all I saw.
"Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."

*points, laughing* I saw those!

I dunno, when I heard that line I just snickered for about two minutes straight, because it was such club-fisted sexxual innuendo.

The Warp 5 Complex is rather...indiscriminate in its acceptance policies. You could try there. It was eye opening for me, that's for sure. You could also try BLTS.

( I didn't go looking for these sites, BTW. I found out about them when their administrators contacted me asking to list my stories. I said yes. I'm just a comment slut. :? )

I started drooling at the thought of fanfic I hadn't seen before but the BLTS defeated me. I put in "Enterprise, Trip, T'Pol" in search and I got a Trip/Hoshi fic. Arghhh, the horror! And with no warnings either!!! Then the next one was Trip/Malcolm! Arghhh! Then I tried to go back to redo my search and it wouldn't go back. Gah!

Well.... before the current administrator took over, BLTS used to stand for "Better Living Through Trek Smut".

I'm not kidding, actually. She's made some major renovations, but I see now that she still hasn't gotten around to posting my stories yet (probably took one look at how many there were and changed her mind), and some of the older stories are... well... very deserving of the original name, let me put it that way.

I wouldn't feel too bad. I just went trawling by the author index, which appears to be the only option other than an incredibly bad Google search tool, and after "I" I can't get any author indices anyway. I mean, you'd be there since you're "D", but you'd be hard to find by anybody who wasn't looking according to your name. It's a really primitive site in terms of searching for anything and Enterprise is definitely a minority. And in there, heterosexual Enterprise is definitely a minority.

Why do so many straight women enjoy writing slash smut? I had a friend in XF land who loved writing Mulder/Krycek stories as well as the occasional M/S story. She's a virgin at the time but definitely het and she's writing about guys lovingly shaving each other's scrotums. Apparently Japanese high school girls love that stuff too. I don't get it. It would make a lot more sense to me if it was being written by homosexual guys.
