He was frail, it was his last convention, about a year before he died. If you notice his hands, I think that was bruising from an IV or something. I said "thank you" right after they snapped the photo (you were not supposed to converse with him so they could take the photos fast), but he nodded. His hands shook too much for photo signing at this convention. I treasure this photo. Jim (my husband) understands...I think. :?
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Your greatest pleasure in a Maureen Dowd column criticizing the President is that it concludes, "He can live long and prosper by being less Spocky and more Rocky."

I liked the article, but then again, I like reading about politics (from several sides) and health care in the States is a subject I am really interested in.
Guess that makes me less a Trek fan. :raspberry:

You know you're a ST fan when at the age of 11 you can mimic certain Trek ladies voices exactly so you can confuse mom until she forgets to give you chores like organizing the pot and tupperware cabinates. I can mimic Deanna Troi exactly, some Janeway, B'Elanna perfectly, and 7of9 is insultingly easy. Haven't tries T'Pol or Hoshi yet.

The crossword puzzle clue is "part of TnT," 3 letters. You think, "but I can't fit T-R-I-P or T-P-O-L."

Like the Spocky-Rocky line. Whether or not you agree with her on any given issue, the woman has a way with words.

Speaking of which... after reading that article, you stop to think, "Would Spock make a good president, pesky citizenship-from-birth issues aside?"

*Warning* Liberals, Obama-ites, and fans of Maureen Dowd may find this video annoying.
