1st anniversary of a passing....

Postby enterprikayak » Thu Dec 06, 2007 8:05 pm

it's the 355 day anniversary of Bucky and Myst shattering our world.
John O. et al did a pretty good job of reconstructing our native habitat, non?

Sunday, Dec 16 will be a year to the day that they posted
Bucky & Myst wrote:After much discussion about the future of TripT'Poler's, Bucky and myst123 have decided to close the doors to new submissions. We'll still be here, we won't be adding any new material, and we will be paring down the content to save server space costs. We'll archive the site so that people can continue to visit to read the stories, and to visit the Shipper's Guides, Image Gallery (Episodes by Seasons 2-4), and calendar. If you want to keep anything that is on the site that is not on the above list, go ahead and save it to your computer.

We'll stop adding new stories on January 1 and we give authors until February 1 to complete any unfinished stories. Bucky will post further information about fan fiction in that forum of this BBS.

We are both sad, but feel it is a good time for us to make this move.

Thanks to everyone who made this site such a success. We appreciate it!

--myst123 and Bucky

How many of us read that and didn't have a medical event of some description? :O

Thanks to John O. and Katie and all who made the new site so awesome! And to Bucky & Myst and everyone who made the *last* site so awesome!

I can't add any word!
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

I remember writing a tearful goodbye to the group, then getting a PM from Elessar: "I am so going to revive this site!"

Anyway, that's how I remember it!

That indeed was an annoucement for which I needed to consult my Vulcan healer who immediately put me in a deep healing trance and followed up with the recommendation that I take a two week leave of absence from my employment to sequester myself at the Mt. Seleya retreat to undergo intense therapy.

Elessar's announcement saved me the cost of the trip to Vulcan.

I had only just dipped my feet into Trip/T'Polers, but Distracted mentioned this site when it was just starting up, and I've been hooked since.

I remember how utterly shocked I was when I logged in at TripTPolers and saw the announcement last year. I'm so glad we have this site to continue having writers posting their new stories here :D and that House of Tucker still kept their archives of stories. I thankful that elessar and the others who contributed to this site.

I too want to thank the site providers here for the hours of work they must be putting in each week. Bucky and Myst did TnT site for years, but burn out finally caught up with them. It caught up, I guess, with JediKatie right here, too. So thank you Elessar, JediKatie, jusTripn, Distracted, Dark Rain, BnB, and everyone else who has, and still is, working on this site! It is a labor of love.

I couldn't have done it without Dark_rain and JK and WE couldn't have done it without ALL OF YOU and the donors. I'm glad to see us still up and going and I have no plans for otherwise any time soon 8)
