If you could create a single ship with any crew complement you wanted what would it be? The big 10, in my opinion, are;

Ship:
Commanding Officer:
Executive Officer:
Flight Control Officer (Helm):
Chief Security Officer:
Chief Operations Officer:
Chief Engineering Officer:
Communications Specialist:
Chief Science Officer:
Chief Medical Officer:
Wild Card:

The wild card is something like Tactical Officer, Counselor, something found of some ships but not on others.

Mine would have to be;

Ship: USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) (TNG)
Commanding Officer: Captain Kathryn Janeway (VOY)
Executive Officer: Commander T’Pol (ENT)
Flight Control Officer (Helm): Lieutenant Tom Paris (VOY)
Chief Security Officer: Lieutenant Commander Tuvok (VOY)
Chief Operations Officer: Lieutenant Commander Data (TNG)
Chief Engineering Officer: Lieutenant, Junior Grade B’Elanna Torres (VOY)
Communications Specialist: Ensign Hoshi Sato (ENT)
Chief Science Officer: Seven of Nine (VOY)
Chief Medical Officer: Dr. Phlox With EMH as back up (ENT/VOY)
Wild Card - Assistant Chief Engineering Officer: Commander Charles Tucker III (ENT)

So I’ve watched 3 out of 5 different Star Treks. But I think this crew is pretty much totally badass.

Anyone else wanna tell us who their all star crew would be?

Hmmmm. Okay. Here goes.

Ship: Don't really care. It's a ship, not a person.

Commanding Officer: Captain (Sir Patrick Stewart) Picard (TNG)- I have a thing for Shakespeare and knights

Executive Officer: Commander Chakotay (Voy) - Love the facial tattoo and the native American schtick

Flight Control Officer (Helm): Ensign Travis Mayweather (ENT) - Every crew must have its eye candy

Chief Security Officer: Lt. Tasha Yar (TNG) -Tasha got the short end of the stick... or the deep end of the puddle of evil black goo... or whatever. She deserves a second chance.

Chief Operations Officer: I'm not sure who to put here. Did any of the ships besides TNG even HAVE one of these? What does this guy even do?

Chief Engineering Officer: Commander Charles (Trip) Tucker (ENT)- I also have a thing for southern gentlemen

Communications Specialist: Lt. Uhura (TOS) - THE classiest lady in all of Star Trek

Chief Science Officer: Commander T'Pol (ENT) - Gotta include the OTP

Chief Medical Officer: The Holographic Doctor (VOY) - Robert Picardo is da bomb

Wild Card: Lt. Malcolm Reed (ENT) as tactical officer under Tasha's command. I could SO see them breaking the frat regulations on a regular basis and then convincing themselves that it was a "friends with benefits" no strings relationship. Riiiight.

That sounds pretty good to me. Maybe you should write the AU crossover version...

Really wondering how Trip would do with Picard. Would they get each other? Picard's almost like another Vulcan...

I dunno. Picard's more Brit than Vulcan. I certainly never bought him as a Frenchman, that's certain. I don't think the writers could make up their minds about him. They didn't do much with the character. He was just a figurehead. And then he was a Borg. :wtf:

I don't know. He ruthlessly squashes his own desires through a combination of self-discipline and denial -- other than the ones requiring academic study in archaeology and such -- and has a natural arrogance about him that makes me think of Ent-era Vulcans. Rather Soval-like. He DID get along quite well with Sarek and Spock, not that Spock is difficult to get along with. In fact, I think the reason they had him experience Sarek's emotions for awhile was to point out some of the similarities there in terms of self-restraint -- and some of the pitfalls.

I had no complaints with his character development. Did any other captain get to go home and interact with siblings after a trauma? (Maybe they did -- I haven't watched all the series.) We even got to see a key turning point or two in his reckless youth. Anyway, saying he was British just doesn't really do it for me. It's like saying someone is American. Maybe there will be tend to be certain attitudes there (keep calm and carry on), but it's not terribly informative about personality.

But yeah, I never bought him as French either, even when he went back to 'France.' In my own mind, by his century France has somehow become dominated by the English... a much-delayed revenge for 1066!

Hmmm.... good question. I think TOS Era miniskirts on even days, mirror universe bare midriffs on odd days. Yes, that should do it.

His skirt will have to be pleated and plaid, of course. Then it would be manly... but only if he goes commando under it. Real men don't wear anything under their kilts.
