I saw the first new ST movie on television and I thought it was an okay movie (but I absolutely hated the destruction of Vulcan!). Into the Darkness got such bad reviews over here, I passed the opportunity to see it in the cinema. But I liked to see it one day, just to know what's the movie is about.

We're down to a stubborn few. :)

Putaro, you didn't miss anything by skipping those two TNG movies. At all.

Now Argo, on the other hand, I just saw last night. I can't believe how much suspense Affleck managed to build out of a story for which I already knew the ending. I thought it was just excellent.
OMG, ANOTHER new chapter! NORTH STAR Chapter 28

I still, after all this time, find it hilarious that Spock/Uhura 'shippers have no idea what Pon Farr is.

They don't ? :vulcan:

Admittedly, I haven't been keeping up with Abrams Trek, aside from having seen each film, but only just once each. I hold no interest in that alternative Trek.

^ Dear sweet lord, that says all there is to be said for many of these modern fans of Abrams Trek. Like JJ Abrams himself, it appears they don't know Trek lore very well.
